Bob Malerba, a long time CT business man, owned and operated Malerba’s Silver City Tire Co., Inc and Malerba’s Tyre Man and has been serving commercial, automotive, off-the-road and fleet customers for over 30 years. The family business was started back in 1939 by Bill Malerba. Bob purchased the business in 1984.

In 2004, Bob sold the tire dealership and retread business to Bob Berlin of Berlin, Inc.: following the sale the name was changed to Berlin Bandag, Inc. Bob Malerba remained involved with Berlin Bandag, staying on as VP of Operations for four years.

From 2005 to 2006, Bob Malerba served as President of the Tire Industry Association. He is currently serving as Immediate past president and Executive committee member, and is now consulting for the tire industry.
